Breeding rats is a hobby I enjoy, not a business! I do not sell my rats for a profit. I have decided on my prices to help offset the costs I incur while breeding. Some of these costs are bedding, food, vitamins, toys, cage replacement or repair, medication, vet bills... well you get the idea.
*Price's are subject to change without notice.
Everyone who takes a rat home for my Rattery will be required to sign an Adoption Contract. I have decided not to post my contract on my site. If you are interested in checking it out, just ask, I will be happy to email you a copy. Anyone who requests a baby or requests to be on my wait lists will receive a copy of it with my response.
*I reserve the right to refuse a rat to anyone for any reason.
Wait Lists and how they work here at CMMR...
If you are interested in a baby from one of my planned or current litters please email me to be put on the wait list. When it comes time to reserve babies from that litter I will email everyone on the list notifying them that its time to submit requests. Wait lists are FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, those on the list first get to select their babies first. If you were hoping to adopt more than one baby, you will be able to select your babies at the same time when your turn comes. In other words there is no limit to the number of babies you can select when your turn comes.
We do not breed large numbers of litters, because of this each litter gets a lot of one on one socialization time. There is a down side to this, we have fewer numbers of babies for you to choose from. It is wise to get on the wait list for a litter early to ensure adoption from the litter you have your eye on. Lists can fill up quick. Its best to stop into the planned breeding page often and email me when you see something your interested in. Most times, by the time the litter is listed on my babies page the wait list will be full or will not have enough babies for those already on the list.
Reserving your babies...
I will take first pick and whichever babies are left will be offered to the people on the wait list. A $5.00 non-refundable deposit will be required to reserve your baby. Babies will not be available for reservation until after 2 weeks of age or older. When its your turn to reserve babies I will email you asking your selection, at that time I will put a temporary hold on the baby you choose. You then have 3-4 days (exceptions are made when down payments are coming from out of state) to get your down payment to me via check. Once I receive your down payment you are locked in on that baby, if I do not receive your down payment in the required time frame the baby you temporally reserved will become available for another person to reserve.
Picking up your new babies...
Your baby rat will be available for pick up after 5-6 weeks of age (up to 7 weeks for high white litters and up to 9 weeks for Siamese and Himalayan rats). I will email you to set up a date and time to pick up your baby. If for some reason I have an illness in my rattery you will have to wait till your baby is well, I will not let one go home sick. At the time of pick up you will be required to pay the remaining balance in full, please bring cash for your final payment. You will also be required to sign an adoption contract, all babies placed require a completed adoption contact.
